It’s that time of the month again! And no, I don’t mean what you think I mean. What I’m saying is that my monthly Birchbox has arrived in the mail and I couldn’t be more excited.
Whenever I try to share my excitement about my box o’ beauty with my family and friends they all sort’ve just smile and nod, clearly incapable of giving less of a f*ck. Odds are they’re thinking about what they wore for Halloween in 2003 as opposed to listen to me drone on and on about what I received in a Birchbox. I decided it would be fitting to share my finds on Denim ‘N White so people who are actually interested can read all about it, and I’m going to make this a monthly tradition!
To begin, I received the Crabtree & Evelyn Gardeners Ultra-Moisturizing hand Therapy lotion, which would retail at $20. This is going to be super helpful once school starts up again and my hands will be all torn up from my projects.
Next is the Dr. Jart+ Vital Hydra Solution Deep Hydration Sheet Mask, retailing at only $6! I’ve received a number of Dr. Jart+ products in past Birchboxes and I love their products, so I can’t wait to give this one a go.
The IPKN Pore Apple Sun Cream, for sale at $28, is an SPF 40+ cream that protects skin agains the sunlight while simultaneously minimizing the look of pores.
I’ve given this next product a go on my lips and I definitely am not a fan, but on my cheeks it looks youthful and healthy. It’s the LAQA& Co. Charm School Cheeky Lip in the shade Cray-Cray. It’s a little too cray-cray of a color to be on my lips, especially for someone as pale as myself, but I adore it on my cheeks.
The only hair care product in the August box was the RUSK Volumizing Mousse, at full size retailing for $18. I’m really excited to give this a go because my hair needs a little volume at the roots.
As for full size products that I received in my box…
The Eyeko Eye Do Mascara in carbon-black is instantly up there with my favorite mascaras. The brush separates lashes and creates a lengthy, voluminous look that is totally amazing. I would compare this to my all time favorite Better Than Sex mascara by Too Faced.
The second full sized product and final product of this little haul is the $16 Marcelle Eye Shadow Duo in the shade Dirty Martini. This camel and olive eye shadow set seems perfect for the fall, but when I tested the colors on my own eyes using a primer the colors were extremely fair and almost unnoticeable. I guess these require buildable coverage, so I’ll need to give them another shot!
I included the prices in this post to prove why subscribing to Birchbox is so important. I pay $20 a month to receive products that alone cost most than that, it’s seriously incredible and I highly recommend subscribing.
