It’s a New Year, everybody! And it’s taken me over a week to make a post about this; when do I get the World’s Greatest Blogger Award??? And by greatest I mean worst.
Anyway, 2015 was filled with some pretty cool events, but I have a feeling 2016 will be great and there’s so much going on right now to prove that. I start my internship at Birchbox tomorrow, which is INSANE, and recently I just had my first post published on CollegeFashionista!
For those of you who aren’t sure what that is, CollegeFashionista is basically a blog that hires college students all around the country as Style Gurus (digital interns) and has them post innovative and trendy outfits to inspire their peers! I was lucky enough to be selected to be a StyleGuru for the spring of 2016 and I couldn’t be more excited to share my personal style with my fellow gurus and all of the other readers!
I thought it would be fun to introduce my CF profile and keep you updated on the behind-the-scenes process of it all! Here’s the link to my first post featuring the outfit I’m about to introduce you to. For more information and shoppable links, be sure to check out my post.
I wanted to wear something that was a very obvious “Norah Outfit” so obviously that means monochrome with a shoe that gave me some height and sunglasses.
I also wanted a really cool background, something that would stand out and be unique, so I forced Jeff to sneak to my school’s rooftop with me and be my photographer for the day. I rewarded him with the ability to stay my friend for the spring semester…. JK he didn’t get shit! HAHA
Although, he did get a pretty dank photo out of it. #BEAUTYKING.
Anyway, he and I had a little photo shoot on the roof and it was super fun. I know I can always count on him to be my paparazzi every once in a while. The best part of it all is that people always see these amazing quality photos that look totally flawless but there are ALWAYS horrible photos that come out of it. Those horrible photos take up a solid 90% of the end result, let me share!
So much awkward… so much blur… so much exposure…
Once I sifted through all the ugly, I edited my photos and uploaded them with my little bio. It was really exciting sharing this because it was just another tiny stepping-stone towards the career that I like. We can call it a pebble.
I can’t wait to experience more pebbles and stones this year, and obviously I’ll be posting them on my blog!
PS: If you have any questions about CollegeFashionista or anything in general PLEASE don’t hesitate to ask in the comments. I will 100% reply with anything you want to know!!
