PINK Nation Motel

It’s been a minute (or 9 million) since I’ve shared my adventures with all of you guys, so I figured there’s no better place to start than the beginning! I could go on and on about school and work and all of that boring stuff, but instead I’m going to mark my return to blogging on May 19, the day I left New Jersey and flew all the way across the country (my first time on a plane in over a decade!) to join Victoria’s Secret PINK and CollegeFashionista for the Pink Nation Motel!

I can’t even put into WORDS how much this trip meant to me. Like I said, I haven’t been on a plane in over a decade, let alone a vacation. I had spent my entire junior year of college slaving over school, working as hard as an employee at my internship (and loving it) along with managing relationships, friendships and somehow getting sleep. NJ Transit went to SHIT, which sucked considering I take the train everyday into NYC for school and work, and I was just a general ball of stress the second my eyes closed when I went to sleep to the second they opened when I woke up. I needed a miracle, and being selected by my girls over at CF to attend the trip of a lifetime was just that.

I packed my bags, boarded my flight to LAX with a dream and a cardigan and arrived in style to meet up with 14 girls who have now become some of my closest friends.

We boarded the PINK bus….

OH WAIT NO WE DIDN’T. My friends and I were too busy bonding in the bathroom, so we missed the PINK bus and had to take a coach bus. Yes, I mean the kind that you take in middle school when you’re on your way to see the Broadway rendition of The Lion King. Naturally, our bus broke down in the middle of the high way for 2.5 hours and we ended up getting to our hotel later than dinner, but honestly it was so fun that I’m not even mad.

That same night, all of the girls attending the trip went out for a night of games and fun. Go carts, minigolf and arcade games- oh my! AGAIN, my go cart broke down in the middle of riding it but honestly let’s just move past that.

The next day had to be my favorite. Raise your hand if you’ve ever ridden on an ATV in Palm Springs to film a promo for the VS Fashion Show with a Victoria’s Secret Angel? my hand is raised

IMG_0996IMG_1153To follow up on that literal dream, there was a pool party complete with a DJ, mocktails, and the cutest decorations you eyes ever did see. Oh, and let’s not forget the complimentary hair stylists sitting pool side waiting for us when we got there. Yeah, VS knows how to party.

We finished off our trip with morning yoga- oh wait, sorry, I meant to say morning hoola hooping! It was such a unique way to start the day and then we sadly had to say goodbye to the girls who we have all become so close to in just two short days.

I can’t begin to thank VS PINK and CollegeFashionista for selecting me to go on the trip of a lifetime and I’m so happy I can share experiences like this with you all.
